Appliance Repair DC – Natural cleaning products to clean your appliances

Would you like to reduce the number of harsh chemicals you use in your home? Doing so is inexpensive and simple. Try these alternative cleaning solutions to keep your home chemical free.

      1) Baking Soda:

A paste of baking soda and water cleans ovens without the chemicals or the hassle of the self-cleaning cycle. Make a paste on the bottom of the oven, leave for a few hours and wipe off for a shiny, chemical free oven.

      2)Vinegar:

Fill a dishwasher safe bowl or jar with 2 cups of vinegar and set on the top rack of the dishwasher. Run through on a hot cycle with no other dishes in the dishwasher to clean and remove the musty odor. To clean your washing machine, add one cup of white or apple cider vinegar and one-half cup of baking soda to the drum, with the water level on the highest setting, and the temperature to hot.
Hint: you can add these ingredients to a load of clothing to whiten whites, remove stains and reduce odors as well.

      3) Lemon:

Lemons are a natural disinfectant and stain remover because of their acidity. Remove stains from food storage containers by squeezing the juice of a lemon into the containers and let sit overnight if necessary.
You can keep your refrigerator smelling nice if you want your fridge to have a fresh scent. Simply put half a lemon in the fridge.

      4) Flour:

You can use the flour to prevent creating a larger mess, you may want to reserve this cleaning tip for the sink, or pots and pan. First, you clean the sink thoroughly to remove any dirt, grease or grime. After drying, cover it in flour and use as much flour as you’d like. Then, take a clean soft cloth and start cleaning, the sink starts to shine like new.

Everyone has plenty of appliances to care for in their kitchen, from both large and small, to cookware and sinks. With just a little bit of the technique listed above, your appliances will stay looking marvelous for a long time.
